These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Sunshine State Driving Academy website and driving instruction services. By scheduling lessons, submitting forms, or using the website, users agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Driving Lesson Eligibility
Students must meet the following requirements to participate in driving instruction:
• Possess a valid Florida learner’s permit or driver license when required for instruction
• Carry their permit or license during each lesson
• Be physically and mentally capable of operating a motor vehicle safely
• Follow all instructor directions during training
Students under the age of 18 may require parental or guardian consent before participating in lessons.
2. Lesson Scheduling
Lessons are scheduled based on instructor availability.
Sunshine State Driving Academy makes reasonable efforts to accommodate preferred lesson times. However, requested dates and times cannot be guaranteed until confirmed.
Late arrival by a student may result in a shortened lesson.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
To ensure fairness and scheduling availability:
• Lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee or loss of the lesson
• No shows may result in the full lesson fee being charged
Exceptions may be made for emergencies at the discretion of Sunshine State Driving Academy.
4. Payment Policy
Payment may be required before or at the time of scheduling lessons.
Minors under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver completed and payment submitted at the time of scheduling in order to confirm and participate in any lesson.
Accepted payment methods may include:
• Online payment
• Credit or debit cards
• Cash & Other approved payment methods
Refund policies may vary depending on lesson packages and services purchased.
5. Safety and Instructor Authority
The instructor has full authority to ensure safe operation of the training vehicle.
Instruction may be stopped or canceled if a student:
• Behaves in a reckless or unsafe manner
• Refuses to follow safety instructions
• Appears impaired or unfit to drive
The instructor may terminate a lesson if safety is compromised.
6. Training Vehicles
Lessons are conducted in vehicles equipped with safety features, including dual control brakes when applicable.
Students must follow all safety instructions when operating the training vehicle.
Sunshine State Driving Academy maintains vehicles according to safety standards but cannot guarantee protection from all driving risks.
7. Limitation of Liability
Driving involves inherent risks. By participating in lessons, students acknowledge these risks.
Sunshine State Driving Academy, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for:
• Accidents caused by third party drivers
• Road conditions or environmental hazards
• Actions taken by the student while learning to drive
Reasonable care and professional instruction are provided to minimize risks.
8. Website Use
Visitors agree to use the website only for lawful purposes.
Users may not:
• Attempt to disrupt website functionality
• Submit false information through forms
• Copy or misuse website content without permission
All website content remains the property of Sunshine State Driving Academy.
9. Privacy
Use of the website is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used.
